Drawing Fractals with Interval Arithmetic - Part 2

I have written a new paper about fractals and interval arithmetic. This is a follow up paper that brings in (or plagiarizes, depending on you point of view) techniques discussed by de Figueiredo et. al. in this presentation.

There is an updated visualization tool that also allows exploration of Julia sets.

Nathaniel Rawnsley is home!

Nathaniel and Erika came home on the evening of the 15th of June. Here he is with his mummy and daddy:

Nathaniel Rawnsley

We are very pleased to announce that at 10:00am on Monday 13th June Nathaniel Alan Rawnsley was born. He is 7lb 11oz.

Mother and baby are doing very well, and will probably remain in hospital until wednesday or thursday.

DAEMON Tools

DAEMON Tools is a freeware tool for mounting ISO images as virtual drives. I usually use Alcohol 120% for this sort of thing, but it is nice to have a free alternative.

In case you think it looks a bit suspect: it comes recommended from a trustworthy source. Still not sure about the emphasis on copy protection evasion though ;-)

DVD / DivX player for £35 (incl. VAT)

Dabs has the Packard Bell DVD-DVX 350 for the very reasonable price of £35.


I don't know if it's any good, but at that price it has got to be worth the risk.
